We don’t want to blow our own horn but our 2 outlets at Pickering Street and Chijmes are very popular with our regulars for a reason. Good food, good price, good vibes. The dim sum here are traditional, home made delicious parcels given a modern spin. For example, our har gao is topped with mentaiko cream and our xiao long bao has a touch of truffle oil. Yums.
The former executive chef of the paradise group came out to set up kai garden himself and it has been a hit for their innovative take on dim sum as well as classic Chinese dishes. The chef is also a Guangdong native so expect to see some traditional recipes you hardly see elsewhere.
Although Lei Garden has closed down several of their outlets, the last remaining one at Chijmes is still going very strong. Classic dim sum in a very classy environment. Their abalone sauce chicken feet is one of the best around. Being a chain from Hong Kong, they also do very good hong kong classics that other dim sum places don’t do like sweet egg rolls.
The dim sum place with the highest ceiling in Singapore for sure since blossoms is located right in the lobby of MBS. Their wagyu beef puff as well as truffle mushroom dumpling is excellent. As one of their chefs was formerly from Super Peking Duck by the Imperial Treasure group, their roast meats are also very good although a little on the pricey side.
The flagship outlet of the Imperial Treasure group, this outlet serves the most authentic Cantonese food out of all their outlets. Their har gao and lor mai gai is fantastic as is their pidan porridge. Consistency is the name of the game at this outlet. Reservations highly recommended.
